| I am a windows user. Have been since 3.0. I installed Linux Mandrake 6.0 (I believe it was) and ran a dual boot machine for a while. I never could figure out how to get it to detect my modem (and no, I didn't have WinModem, I had a hardware, tho' can't remember what it was now). I never could get out on to the internet. I mostly use e-mail and a web browser (betcha can't guess which one :-) ). I also use Quicken and print my own checks with Versa Check. I wasn't able to find a way to do that under Mandrake. I'm not much of a gamer. Windows suits my needs just fine. I enjoy very much the jokes about MS. I am the type of person that enjoys a good joke about any point of view (as an example: I always enjoyed Johnny Carson, 'cause he would pick on every one, Democrate and Republican alike). So, when people get upset over Iliad writing jokes about MS, I just don't understand why they get so upset. |
