AFAIK SuSe is just another term for Windows with another kernel :) But Debian also walked me through the install, and I got along with it quite well. How? I RTFM! If you aren't ready to learn a bit, don't buy a computer. Or would you buy a car without getting a driver's license first?
For the games: Loki or WINE, it's your choice. I hope Loki will make it through it's troubles, 'cause when it does, Linuxers might enjoy all the good games, and they're native to their OS. And I know at least of Master of Orion II, Starcraft and Monkey Island III to work perfectly with WINE.
