Wide angle lens, not telephoto by Illiad2001-10-10 06:45:13
I can sort of see how Greg would feel this way by dcnblues 2001-10-11 11:21:34
No, I have NOT been a member of the Armed Forces. I have had to duck a bullet once (drunk deer hunter, is long story, tell later.)

However, as someone who has worked as a front-line tech support tech, billing support rep, and "I wanna talk to your supervisor" support team lead... I can see how Greg would pop off to the nearest VFW to drown sorrows. Internet/technical services customers can be so stupid, so arrogant, and so outright annoying that at times you really want to do things like throw your headset/phone/desk through a window if it would ONLY MAKE THEM STOP....

Now I'm an instructor. I train people to be cheerful and professional while they suffer this abuse. On the one hand, I'm an evil bastard for not being in the trenches with them anymore. On the other hand, I'm an evil bastard for arming them with the skills they need to keep the customers happy without LARTing them (thereby encouraging tech-abusive behavior).

Move over, Greg. :)
