All I was saying was that IM(very)HO it's funny! (or at least that was the intent)
- but I also recognize the sacrifices veterans have made, and having known many of both, that compared to combat vets, it would be the REMF's that would be most likely to take offense. We SHOULD have fun with it... and not take it (or ourselves) to seriously. Granted, I'm probably one of the least technical people who visit regulary but I must correct your misperception -- I did tech support for 2 years (PT)... granted, it was in higher education, so in addition to the "I-M-M-M-T-Y-S-F-T syndrome, I regularly (say 90 percent of the time) had the "pleasure" of dealing with the

-So-I-Am-Demeaning-Myself-By-Calling
-But-I-Have-Tenure
-So-I-Can-Say-Anything-I-Want
-and-You-Better-Fix-It-
NOW!!!

In addition, I managed a number of businesses in the "customer service" sector for over 13 years... but neither crushed my spirit or made me bitter. I was having fun with the dictionary, not trying to look deeply into it and certainly not dealing with metaphors...
