Greg's drawing of a parallel between combat and the tech support "front lines" is ridiculous. That's what makes it funny for me, that he is being absurd. Then the vet agreeing makes it more absurd. More absurdity=More funny. My opinion is to laugh at the absurd, 'cause if ya don't, you're gonna cry over it. For instance (I'll probably wear out this example in the near future) when a customer called to ask how our system would handle INBOUND calls to CALLING CARDS, I didn't cry. Well, actually I did, but it was because I was laughing so hard. :) Let's just all try to enjoy the absurdity of this fictitious situation since RL absurdity can be stressful enough.
