That's an old saying from my motorcycle road-racing days. The corrolary is that you aren't pushing the boundaries hard enough if you don't occasionally offend a few along the way.

I realized this late yesterday. Illiad does a fine strip, as I stated. But, even Jay Leno drops the occasional "stinker". It goes with the territory if you want to keep your stuff fresh. Illiad has a monster to feed, every day. Sometimes it's good (usually) and occasionally it is less than great. Also, not everyone has the same sense of humor.

I'm willing to grin and bear with this one until it's over. However, while I can understnd it, that doesn't mean I have to like it. There is a difference.
