It looks like the underscore is _indeed_ an invalid character
in host names, so Tripod has a serious bug in their member
subscription program... :(


(and the UF site still has a bug that puts a space instead of
a '+' in my 'My Diary' link in the menu; spaces are (AFAIK)
illegal in the parameter string of a CGI program... When is
Yohimbe going to fix that...</nag>)
