the easiest users to work with were those who would either A)Listen when you told them to do something - or B) Ask what they could do in the future if something like this happened again - which helped to make my life a bit more bearable - but i'm just happy to be out of the trenches - the only tech support i do these days is for my SO - which isn't that difficult at all - she's handy enough at it as is

the help desk stuff i might do now is more along the lines of "i'm one of the people that the help desk calls on in certain situations - when *they* can't resolve a problem"
