I think I know how he feels... by Bobckat2001-10-08 12:15:03

I have almost the exact opposite feeling towards salespeople (unless i'm feeling deliciously evil - which doesnt happen often - and want to torment them :) when i'm in a store (particularly a computer store) I want to be left alone to browse - if i decide that i need assistance (such as in getting a piece of merchandise out of a case) then i will track down a sales associate (or whatever) and ask them to open the case because i need such-and-such piece of merchandise. perhaps i'm not like most customers - and the last time i was in a store and was approached by something like 4 salespeople asking if i needed assistance (as i was browsing on my own) - i politely declined each one - until i decided that i had had enough of pushy salespeople and tracked one down to open a case for me so that i could get the particular harddrive that we decided that we wanted to upgrade a computer (another story entirely) with - and then left - because of pushy salespeople - i'm sure salespeople just simply hate customers like me simply cause they will rarely get a commission of any kind off of me (and chances are i know more about the various pieces of hardware than they do - but i'm not going to debate that point :)

just my 2¢ </soapbox>
