Please pay a visit to the locale department also...

When using the dutch version of any M$ product you will notice
that in numerous dialog boxes en splash screens the text just
falls of (dutch often uses more characters than english. Hey,
don't call us complicated :))

Or what about the 'feature' in the dutch win9x's edit.com?
Whenever you open a file and the path+filename exceeds 30
characters, *poof* "Dit programma heeft een illegale instructie"
and the rest falls of.

Debugging learns that the macro for "shortening" the pathname is
still set to 50 characters, this is ok for english:
"Saving file: <your\...\file>" cf.:
"Bezig met opslaan: <your\...\file>" which is longer than 80
characters and falls in protected memory, hence the error. M$
never bothered to fix this. But you can do it yourself!

"Edit /78 edit.com"
Search for "%50%" and change into "%30%" -> fixed.

Aaahh rexx/2, now there's some powerfull stuff :))
