No question. If my SO (and I do not currently have one) were to behave in a manner that set off my alarms, I'd say "What you're doing bothers me, and this is why."

The usual triggers for a red flag include manipulation, control games, and a refusal to communicate. These are things I absolutely, positively, do not tolerate.

The ultimate LART is to choose to end the relationship. I've used that a few times because eventually the effort I had to put into the relationship outweighed the benefits.

It's a constant struggle to make sure I don't do the things that I don't want a partner to do to me. I've been successful lately; I just hope it stays that way. :)
