It can induce paranoia. My sister kept thinking I put window cleaner in her tea. Simply because I smiled and sat down the bottle on the table near her cup right before cleaning them. Oh and well I brought her a cup of tea exactly the way she likes it. Another time she thought I put salt in something. So what I did is when she expressed concerns told her with a smile to not be silly then took a drink of the tea put it down and said "see told you its safe..."
