to adjust the level of hot-spicyness without losing any of the flavour-spicyness of the food. Ask if they do mild versions of the curries (except vindaloo, that's always very hot) and go from there.

I also eat chicken dishes but I'm on a hypoglycemic diet and so I need the protein. (I can't cook tofu, so don't even bring it up. Lentil soup yes, tofu no.) Anything with "masala" will be not only quite tasty but relatively mild.

I'm unclear on the definition of that last non-paranthetical word and so I can't answer you question. My computer froze when I tried to enter it into dictionary.com and it doesn't seem to be in any of the ones in my bookshelf. Is that some new slang term?
