it was 100lbs on each end and a 25 on each by Arienadean 2001-09-29 23:56:46
I also could lift my brother at the time and he was around 350lbs. But I lifted him to prove a point. He said I couldn't so I had to prove him wrong... that his little sister was tougher than he thought... I think max I ever did with my legs was about 500lbs once. But I think at the time mostly stuck to about 200-350. I'd do arm curls with 50's but had to wrap my wrists because I have weak wrists. I also swam at the time and used the sauna and hot tub. I think the combo of things helped. But I never really got that much muscle mass and never looked as strong as I was. I had worked out 3-5 days a week for 4 yrs straight I guess. I stopped doing workout right before I had kids. At some point I want to get a universal gym for at home so I can just lift weights when I feel up to it, etc. I don't always like heading out to the gym alone.

I have no weights now and life can be unpredictable with my daughter's health. However I do mountain bike when weather allows and I feel ok(arthritis and all) and I also have rollerblades.(but I'm hilarious on hills. The blades are new I was used to the older style skate).

Word of caution with universals be careful. I did perminant damage to my left hand. I went to alter the load and when I went to pull the pin to adjust it it wouldn't budge. I put my left hand (palm up holding the bar) under the angle bar to lift the weight off the pin a bit by moving the exisiting weights a bit. That might of been ok but the pin was weak or something and snapped. Slingshot effect 350lbs in the plam of that one hand. 1yr paralasis and rehab for a few months. I can type/its functional (cept when cold, etc) and it looks ok but it did perminant damage.

hmm swords well you know what those are a symbol of...
