Thanks but I'm not really very depressed. by xcheopis 2001-09-29 09:43:41
It's just that so much has been happening this month, and I've a bio exam on Monday, so I'm not getting enough sleep. I'm taking the day off from my bookstore job so that I can study all weekend and get the high score on my exam. (Competitive? Me? Nahhhh...)

Being laid-off is actually less stressful than having my hours cut. If my hours are cut, I'm left with still going to work, trying to find another job with only a few hours a week available, trying to concentrate on schoolwork when I'm stressing over money issues, and still not making enought to pay bills. This way, I've plenty of free time to study and look for another job. My severance pay will help through the month of October, so I have about ten day where I can just focus on school and not worry about cash flow.

*sigh* I really liked that job. Most of my co-workers were fun and my boss always gave me time off for finals. Sure, I didn't have regular benefits or sick pay or anything but I got lots of flex-time, which is more important right now. Ah, well.
