Tightly Wound by Babobandit2001-09-13 14:22:41

What can I say? I'm speechless. You have been able to capture and put into written form the very feelings and emotions that I've been experiencing since Tuesday morning and have been unable to express.

I especially like the last paragraph. That pretty well sums it up, and left me with chills. I'm not usually an emotional person. I didn't even know anyone in the NYC or DC area, so I'm not worried about any friends or family, yet the last two days I've been a wreck. I've never actually broke down and cried, but it's been very difficult the entire time.

Funny. I'm positive that after Pearl Harbor everyone in America just knew that there would never be a peace between Japan and the US after what they did to us. Yet we helped to build them back up and now we have open trade with them and they come over here and buy all our land ;-) But, as you said. That was military to military. Even during 'peace time' military installations are always at risk. It's part of their nature. This act was directed at civilians and as such is unforgiveable.

Ok, this is turning into more of an emotional dump with no real direction, so I'm going to cut it off right here. I just wanted to say thank you for saying what probably a lot of us wanted to say, but just couldn't for whatever reasons.
