This was most assuredly NOT a simplistic attack! by SouthpawPL 2001-09-13 12:23:27
The logistics involved in co-ordinating four (count 'em) virtually simultaneous hijackings of Major airliners, the training of terrorists as pilots, setting them up with false ID's, income, housing, transportation...

The planning that went into determining the optimum place to crash the plane to ensure the collapse of the building. These take time. and lots of money.

This was a massive, well funded, complex, long term plot, as vast in it's scope as any campaign in wartime. Which it was. It was, as has been stated countless times in the last three days, an attack on a par with Pearl Harbor. The only difference being, these cowards slaughtered innocent men, women and children instead of targeting a Military who would have been able to defend itself.

The actions of Red Tuesday were an act of war.
The United States didn't start this fight, but we're d@mn sure gonna end it. And with considerably more civilized behavior than was shown by our enemy. Of this I am sure.
