Violence against US citizens by tobias 2001-09-13 11:00:42
My deepest regrets to everybody who lost a loved person and those injured.
I just read the news that Islamic and Arabian people and institutions in the US have been attacked or threatened. I live in Germany and everyone here has in mind the reports of the "Reichskristallnacht" and what I've just read sounds frighteningly similar. In a country promoting religious freedom as high a value as the US do this just shouldn't happen. Nobody should be judged just by beeing a member of a religious or ethnic group. Besides the people now attacked in the US didn't attack the WTC and Pentagon, but those who did should be found and punished and the police shouldn't be drawn away from this task by the need to protect innocent poeple. I can understand everyones anger and frustration but violence will give no relief but further problems of whitch we have more than enough already. Some may find my concern about this unimportant or inadequate considering what happened, but I think that considering what happened citizens having to be concerened with this a shocking experience. Especially when you consider that those beeing attacked are also Americans and might even have lost poeple close to them.
