that's not a nostradamus quote. it's been passed around as one, but someone just screwed up and people kept passing it on. that quote comes from here:

basically, the guy who made that page was trying to prove that nostradamus' prophecies could have been made by anyone, and so he said:

"If I make say a thousand prophecies that are fairly abstract for example:
In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb"

it's on the page, take a look. basically the guy made a random statement, and it just so happens to fit the current circumstances. proves his thesis pretty well too.
