the events of this day are as fresh and clear today as they were a year ago today. I don't think I'll ever forget, nor do I want to. I want to remember those who died, those who survived, and those who were *there* on september 11, 2001 at 8:46am EDT. I guess it's alot like how my parents' generation feels about the JFK assination, or my grandparents' generation feels about Pearl Harbor.

I heard this on the local news today about a gathering over in Scranton, PA: "Today folks gathered outside the courthouse, not so much to remember, as to make sure they never forget." and I couldn't have said it any better.
