America has always had an "Us vs Them" attitude...neither has America been a "Global Doormat"...trafic cop yes...sticking our noses where it doesn't belong Korea (to stop Joe McCarthy's "Red Menace"), Vietnam (to once again bail out France from a fight that they started), Grenada (Med School students whose only real danger was in graduating) and Libya (to meddle in their claimed sovreignty) to name a few; places America has gone and fought battles that we had no business other than business or our own moral outrage in making policy to affect other people...where is the honor in those battles???...where other than money was the interest in saving Kuwait???...not to mention Serb/Croat skirmish that was originally started by Richard I back in the 11th century with the Crusades (the only time that area has seen peace: under the thumb of Warsaw Pact/Soviet authority)...

We're the pack of bastards alright...we fight battles we have no right to fight...dictate our values to countries that are against their own customs...and judge cultures using only our own as a benchmark (not on it's own merits)...then expect everyone to take what we're jamming our values down their throats and be happy for our "Help"...

FINALLY...we do NOT run the world...it's exactly that attitude that has Americans so thoroughly hated we become targets across the globe...but I digress...
