| Unfourtunatly, even with all the money the CIA (and NSA, and military, and, hell, who knows, the flipin' MIB for all we know) it is not enough. Since the end of the cold war, the budget has not been adequatly increased to reflect both inflation and cost of technology. Of any government area, this should be one who's requests are never denied; yet, time and time again, they are. And, as a great tragedy, it TAKES a great tragedy (WW, cold war, terrorist attack) for the public/ congress to give these people the resourses they need. Anyone else guessing there's going to be a spike in Federal/ Military job applications from people my age (college) who feel a need to help their country? If not, try looking at the peak from the '50s/ '60s, not to mention war times. |
