Former military service members are not necessarily like any stereotype, just as Muslims aren't all terrorists. Your question suggests that a person being former military would explain such behavior, which would be as bad as if I said a persons gender would explain their ill temper. As has already been pointed out numerous times on this board today, such generalization (a.k.a. bigotry, racism, and any other stereotyping) is what causes tragedies like today's. Today of all days you don't HAVE to ask such a question.
