Security at the airport can be pretty heavy. This is true. Do we know what kind of weopon was used for the highjacking? Perhaps they were something that didn't set off the metal detector or something that was disguised. Four different people made it through security... at four different airports. No big deal. It looks like four isolated incidents. Is it easier for Americans to get through security than foreigners? There were four pilots involved each with a death wish. When Americans commit suicide, we generally don't invite our freinds to go along for the ride. Our bomber in OK City was at a safe distance when he set off the bomb. Most of the time, when you hear about suicide bombers on the news, they are islamic radicals. These may have different purposes, but death for the cause is generally supported by religion. While it is possible that this was a group of Americans, it isn't very likely.
