I live in Huntsville, and work on the Arsenal (actally, Marshall Space Flight Center). They locked down the base, and the only ppl allowed in have to A) have their security badges, B) have a 2nd ID, C) be prepared to have their cars searched, and D) be prepared to have dogs check every inch of their cars and persons.
I work on the IT Security team, and after the tragedy we spent most of the day watching network traffic in real time to prepare for a possible hack attack on NASA. We even had to move our cars from the parking lots in case one of us were carrying a car bomb. They ordered all non-essential personnel to leave the base. Luckily our team was consider to be essential, so we had to stay all day. Whoopee for me :(
