A Call To Reason. by BlurOfSerenity2001-09-11 13:15:24
extrememly good point by Denix 2001-09-11 15:26:12
I recieved a comment from the CEO of a well-known company, as part of a mailing list distribution today. It said:

"We would like to also say on record that if any country is found responsible for these attacks, we call for that country's complete destruction and annihilation."

This distressed me a great deal. I know emotions are running extremely high at the moment. I live in the UK, not even America, but I do have some relatives who live and work in Manhattan, and I have no idea what has happened to them, and I fear the worst... But I cannot agree with a comment like this.

Calling for the extermination of a country full of innocent people, who have no control over their leader's actions, is not a rational or humane way of dealing with the problem. It is simply reducing oneself to the level of those which you despise.

I sincerely hope that all those responsible for certainly the worst act of violence in *my* memory will be brought to justice as swiftly as possible... But how can you condone the killing of more innocent people after the terrible tragedy that has just occurred.

Sorry for the troll... This is a very emotive subject and it's difficult for everyone. My thoughts are will *all* those affected.
