| your committment to nonviolence. But surely you must realize this is one instance where pacifism will accomplish nothing but more innocent death. True retaliation, retaliation that gets a response and gets results, comes only in the form of violence. If you want someone to hear you, whisper. If you want their attention, punch them. Weeks ago we were warned that this would happen. We did nothing. Years ago something similar happened. We put bin-Laden's picture in post offices and held peaceful trials for those directly responsible, which is the sort of lawful repurcussions I can only assume you're hoping for. And you see all the good that did. While surely he wasn't solely responsible for these attacks, he was most certainly involved. Who else could supply enough money, training and information to do this? It's my personal belief that he should be retired, and with great prejudice, as should all persons involved in today's incidents. Military action will be not only to punish those responsible, but to send a very clear message to any other terrorism groups who would do this to America or any other country. There is no better way to accomplish this. Pacifism worked for India. That was a fluke. It will NOT work against a terrorist group. |
