Today we have seen the attack of the United States by cowards who pretend to play at war, believing that they are soldiers. However, these so-called soldiers strike to inspire terror and cowardice, not to acheive any real objectives.
They believe that they punish us for transgressions and now, I believe that they will see punishment carried to the fullest extent possible.
I submit to you, my fellow UFies, several quotes from Shakespeare and a final quote from history
Caesar's spirit, ranging for revenge...
Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice
Cry 'havoc!' and let slip the dogs of war...
--Julius Caesar, III:1
Once more into the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead!
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility;
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger...
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot!
Follow your spirit; and upon this charge,
Cry, "God for Harry! England and Saint George!"
--Henry V, III:1
"I fear that all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant, and fill him with a terrible resolve."
Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto
Our thoughts should be with the families and friends of the fallen victims, with the leaders of this country, and those of are left to deal with the aftermath of this craven attack. |
