It goes without saying that this whole thing goes so far beyond anything I've ever seen. The words don't even come naturally to me today as I fight off the tears and rage. How could another human being do this kind of thing deliberately- I don't care how bad they think their plight is. This is an attack on freedom, because now the next time I fly (the 23rd, on American Airlines, barring any difficulty) my freedom will be challenged. I will happily comply and urge all of you to do the same. We complain and bitch about so much- be we are alive. And thousands of innocent people are dead. The news isn't even talking about the broad-scale financial effects this will have. I think it goes without saying that something needs to be done. The line needs to be drawn. And the world needs to know that if it wants us to start acting like a superpower instead of piecemaker- I am behind them doing so to ensure the safety of not just my backyard- but of the world. Welcome to the new age. You have terrorists to thank for what will now be countless invasions of your chat conversations, privacy and other day to day activity. Intellegence will need to be stepped up and threats taken more seriously. And you have these people, whoever they are, to blame. I urge simply two things- 1) to offer whatever aid you can to the over 50,000 people injured or dead in this ordeal, and to the cities and families around them. 2) That you not complain about the Government's inevitable crack down. This is no longer about normal life- this is about war. I am of the opinion that we should utilize our standby elite forces, Navy Seals, Marines and Army Rangers to surgically remove these elements. And any nation that stands in the way of their removal should face massive consequences for harboring the enemy of indeed the whole world, not just America. I urge those in other countries to stand behind and support what happens in the coming months.
But I think above all, I urge you all to seek understanding and hope. Without hope, we die.
