Sanctions, rebukes, and other pacific attempts to stop this have failed; the only effective choice I see left is to attack. In my mind, the question still remains who to attack.

Yes, Palestine seems to be the resposible party this time, but what about other governments that use/condone/shelter terrorist groups? What good destroying one group and leaving the rest?

I don't think this will become WWIII though; I think it will be an extermination of terrorist groups. One does not "war" with an infestation, you simply eradicate it.

While technically and in damages done any conflict that results from this will be a war, I won't be able to think of it as noble or glorious or whatever it is that war is supposed to be. It isn't even about getting land or resources or anything that war is normally about. It will simply be a nasty but necessary chore that we have been forced to deal with because of what happened today.

No glory, no pride or satisfaction in it other than the satisfaction taken in finally completing a difficult job. That's just me though.
