I started out as a helpdesk hack, worked my way up to Technical Services Manager (basically in charge) of an ISP. Then I moved over to UF as a tech.

Management isn't hell, just a reasonable fascimile. If you have the guts to stand up to the CEO and say "You are being a goof. Quit trying to make up for having a small penis." then you'll be ok. If you can't stand up for yourself and protect the people under you, then you become worse than the manipulative corporate leeches up top.

Remember...the pointy haired boss in Dilbert is a middle manager.
