whats wrong with PDP-12s??? hmmm actually my only exposure to PDP's came with having to dismantle one - physically - i still have the floppy drives and face plate with switches - gonna make it into a lamp one of these days - or something interesting :) and i have seen VMS boxes with uptime of something around 400 days (not in production) - another one had an uptime of almost a year (in production) and while we occasionally had the system lock up - we never had to take it down to fix an issue. last reboot was when we replaced a bad harddrive on one of the scsi channels - don't make 'em like they used to ;)
