'nother "fringe geek" here... by BlurOfSerenity 2001-07-31 11:12:29
Still in High School actually, one more year since we have grade 13 here in Ontario... Anyways, I don't really fit into any particular 'category' at school, though I'd be somewhat of a geek / freak / nerd hybrid I suppose. Definitely a math/computer geek (what I'm going to be studying at university). But not into RPGs and such, though I have good friends who are mad about it. My group of friends are the people who aren't the self-appointed 'popular' crowd who wears GAP runs Students' Council and plays on sports teams. So, freaks if you ask the Jocks or the Popular Ones, or the only normal sane smart people in the school if you ask us. Whew, I'm digressing here. What was the question? Oh yes, dating! I haven't dated much in High School. The usual short-lived not-very-serious relationship or two with a guy in around grade 10, but then nothing really at all till this past year (grade 12). The main problem is that there aren't very many people at my school I'd want to date. Intelligent, interesting people are hard to come by in HS, and what ones there are are too much my 'friends' or seeing someone else already. **sigh** Plus, as a girl looking for other girls, your choices are a little slim to start with. ;-) The girl I'm now dating, I actually met outside of school, since she attends a different school than I do.
