In this brief post I will share with you my answers to the question posed, as well as valuable research I have conducted into the matter...
First, I wear boxers or boxerbriefs for regular occasions. Sometimes I go without. Kinda depends. In college I went without more often (generally a function of laundry) than with. For any sort of athletic activity (going to the gym, playing Ultimate, rock climbing, etc) I wear boxerbriefs. For snowboarding, silk or polypro long johns. For what I wear to bed? Nothing in the slightest. Frequently, I don't even sleep with any blankets or sheets.
Second, valuable research information. I polled a number of women ages 21-30 as to their preferences in men and their undergarments. A resounding majority preferred boxerbriefs. Ideally, heather-grey Calvin Klein. Many women expressed that htis is a significant turnon. Boxers illicited little response, and briefs a negative response. Only one woman out of the survey sample (N=25 or so) chose boxers over boxerbriefs.
