I really couldn't change the resolution on my computer, because my 14" monitor refused to display anything other than 640x480. That was on my father's old 386 SX with 12/25 MHz (25 when you pushed the Turbo button). I think it had 8 MByte of RAM and took an eternity when counting every kilobyte at booting (you know the procedure). For some reason it always wanted you to acknowledge or change the CMOS clock's time before loading up MS-DOS (no, I didn't have WIN.COM in my AUTOEXEC.BAT, simply because I spent so much more time in MS-DOS). That's about it, really.
