...but I don't think anyone is in the right place to immediately benefit from learning Esperanto. I'm in Europe (the Netherlands), and Europe should be the target demographic spot for Esperanto, and I don't know anyone who knows Esperanto. I suspect that's the same in all of Europe; Esperanto just isn't widespread enough to be usefull on its own.

On a sidenote: You might just want to learn Esperanto for the 'geeky' part of it; the 'i-know-a-language-no-one-else-knows'-factor. That might just be the reason these Esperanto-translations keep popping up in the translation thread. I actually read through some of 'em and with my knowledge of languages (English, Dutch, German, French, Latin and a bit classic Greek) I was able to follow it quite well.. Hmmm... Esperanto.org it was? Might just as well try and try learning myself a new language :)
