The word you are looking for is "coaster". I use AOL CD's as trash personally. But on recently (on occasion anyhow) they have been sending them in DVD cases so I keep those so when DVD writing becomes cheaper I can just buy spindles of blank DVD's and I'll already have cases to put 'em in.
