As you may have guessed, I'm more afraid of getting a ticket than I am of dying, and this road is out of all jurisdictions except for that of the state troopers, who never bother. In ten years, I have never seen one cop on this road. Also, because I've been driving on it almost daily for six years, I do know the road quite well, and know how fast I can safely drive on it, which curves I can cut and which ones I shouldn't, where to apply brakes and gas, and where on the road I should be to avoid flipping or spinning out. This is also one of only two roads I do this on, the other is one I've been driving on for as long and have been riding on since birth, although I don't take that one anywhere near as fast, and I only do that when I'm driving alone. Everywhere else, I just set my cruise control at about five over the speed limit. :)
