I agree here. It's almost for this single reason that I prefer Novell over nix for a main NOS. It's got a nifty (albeit sometimes unreliable) program called 'salvage' that users can use themselves. As far as putting it on the desktop, I do not see that ever happening. Ever. Not only does it have a reputation as being a geeks-only OS, it really is too much for the average user. Imagine the cost of training all of corporate America in how to use some nix GUI instead of Windows, and migrating data into *nix-compatible programs...it's an unrealistic dream.
