I make sure my users know that when they delete a file, it's gone (love that windows file sharing feature), and being I.T. manager means that if a file is nuked and it's on a tape, I will get it for them. If you're not prepared to do that for your users, you shouldn't be in charge of them. What's the point of a tape backup if you refuse to utilize it for anything other than the server catching fire?
