goes all the way back to MSDOS 5, or even earlier if you used Norton. So to convert M$ users to Linux undelete will most likely have to at least be an option. I for one can think of several times when it would have been useful. shell/filemanager level would work fine, that's what windows does. Delete a file from DOS or an app that isn't "Recycle Bin aware" and it's gone.
