I think any data that is so critical an undelete function would even be considered needs to be backed up anyway, rendering undelete unnecessary. I have always bypassed the recycle bin on my Windows desktop and have only regretted it once or twice in my 7 years of computer usage. If it was really important, and I had only one copy on my machine, well there's the root of the problem!
