| My first comp was a C128, I had all these disks from mags, and I knew which ones had the good games on 'em, and which ones sucked. My original intent in using it was to learn programming, but, as you probably know, BASIC isn't programming, hehehe. Regardless, I loved that thing, I could do all sorts of kewl stuff with it (i.e. titles for videos, kewl waveform generating, even made a nice 'typewriter'), some of which I couldn't do any other way until my most recent computer (Video out to T.V./RCA cables, etc). I'm still upset that my mom made me donate it to the Vets. Even if I could get another C128, I wouldn't have all the stuff I had in the first place, it wouldn't be the same. Oh well, that's all the nostalgia I'm good for today ;) |
