| Interestingly enough, moderation is never illegal. The concept of moderating implies a responsibility to the contents of the moderated object. As kickstart has accepted that responsibility, and has done the job without any grossly apparent prejudices or hidden agendas, I find your arguement without merit. This is NOT your property. This is not MY property, and if the responsible party TO this property, namely kickstart, decides that what I post should be moderated, that is his decision. If I shout my beliefs from your front lawn, I know I would surely be moderated. This is not your front lawn, nor is it mine. It is the responsibility of others, and the fact that they allow ANY speech, free, moderated, or otherwise, is their choice, not subject to anyone elses concept of propriety. They are correct in any action they take. Of course, if things are overly moderated or needlessly removed, then the traffic that helps pay bills through advertising dollars may leave. Few people would read a board that was crushed like that. In my opinion, worth exactly what you paid for it, that is not the case here. Open discussions on human sexual preferences and divergent belief structures have occurred, and I have never felt that they were unduly moderated. That is my take on it. I imagine that some may disagree. I suggest a new board that is owned and taken responsibility for by them. There you will have the freedom you desire. Speak out. Stand firm. On your terms. Meanwhile, I'll just stay here and enjoy what I like. |
