First computer: some flavor of 286. I remember playing Donald Duck's Playground on it. When we ran it in 6 MHz mode, Donald would walk at a fairly moderate pace across the screen. BUT, if you wanted to crank the computer into super-ultra-mega-fast mode, like 8 MHz, Donald ZOOM across the screen. I swear I thought that his webbed feet must get really worn out walking that fast....
