I know this will seem... by Nea 2001-02-09 09:34:07
like I'm trying to rack up brownie points, but I think kickstart made a good decision. As I worked my way through the comments today. I felt like every other thread I was thinking "what, this again?!" I'm all for reading all the arguments and opinions expressed in those threads, but why do they have to be splattered all over the place? Not only is it repetitive, but it's not clear where one should reply to join the active discussion and people kept referring back to replies in other threads. It's possible to piece all that together, but what a pain. The Steve thing was separated by day. I think that's fine. We often bring topics back up day after day, just look at the gun issue stuff (on second thought, forget I mentioned guns). Thoughts often have to get reiterated on a new day since a lot of people only read the current days comments. And one last thing, while the original 'translate the translation thread' joke was cute, it could easily confuse the issue of where the "real" translations should go. Perhaps if it had been titled a bit differently... kickstart wrote: >I didn't see the Steve thing...as for >disabling...what choice do I have?
