No, it isn't. Laws concerning freedom of speech are guarantees against government interference. They do not apply to private citizens, websites, newspapers, etc. This is why the various media employ editors. Someone needs to select what does and does not get their limited resources, be it paper, bandwidth, or disk space.
Furthermore, these protections from government interference (for those of you lucky enough to live in a country with such protections) do not obligate the government (or anyone else) to provide you with a forum. Suppose that you live in the USA. If you demand that the government provide you with a printing press for your watchdog newspaper, you will be ignored. This is not censorship. Censorship is when the government shuts you down for printing that paper.
And having said all this, I now must point out that it's well established in law that your freedom of speech is not unlimited. Yelling "FIRE" in a theatre was judged illegal because it endangered people unnecessarily. Libel laws protect you from people spreading lies about you that are detrimental.
This is User Friendly. It is a free board, and no real obligation exists between us and those who maintain this board. We are free to post what we like. They are free to moderate it down for any reason they choose. We are free to get really pissed about it. And that's where it ends, because reality isn't solidified opinion and won't change just because we think it should.
