  We're not QUITE done... by Capt. X 2001-01-29 18:19:17
This is the part where I say "Sorry, pal, but you were way overdue for a taste of your own medicine. You've not only been incredibly nasty to some of the new folks, but you're actually PROUD of having done it, so I figured I'd let you see how the receiving end must feel. You're clearly not bubbling over with respect and goodwill towards me, now that I've treated you to a taste of your own sneering contempt, so perhaps you can finally understand how a large portion of this board feels about you. Believe what you might, I didn't do this to satisfy some inner rage or personal grudge. I have no personal opinion of you whatsoever - how could I, seeing as how neither of us actually know each other? - but I think you've posted some entertaining stuff in the past, and it's only the occasional hateful bile you spill that keeps your contributions from being more appreciated around here. Lighten up and lose the attitude, and you just might be surprised at how popular you could become." Yep, that's what the whole purpose of this little exercise was, and though you probably don't believe me, I'm being absolutely serious here. Consider what you've thought about me these last few days, and honestly decide whether or not you want people always thinking the same or worse about you. Or you can just complain that I'm "continuing the battle" and ignore the whole point of this sad little episode, but then you really will have lost.
