hi to all of you... since I am swiss, I guess I can speak here as well... Actually, I was pretty surprised of the flame-posts...no..I was disappointed... True, our friend from the romandie didnt write it pretty nice, it had some provocative signs in it. But nevertheless, have it come so far, that everyone and everything in the net just gets pissed off at once when he/she gets a "not-that-nice" post??? True is, that w people from the "german" speaking part of switzerland dont have a written language...we only speak our dialekt. So we use the "high-german" (or however we will call it in english) to write and to express ourselves by using letters. Afterall we must admit as well, that the german people do the same...just not that extreme! However...I am just disappointed that my two swissgerman speaking friends were pissed off that fast... At the other side...aye...if you (welsch) dont like the translation, dont read them... I made them sometimes as well...but now stopped it since it is boring...I dont even read any of the translations... good english jokes cant be translated though...;-) welsch...to your point of making ONE written and spoken swissgerman... well...no, bad idea...why?...because it is part of our culture...if we want to comunicate with people with other languages we all (I mean all of us!!) change to german, french or english.... so...there is no point to stop or destroy of such a cultural thing....;-) thanks...my 2 cents...however stefan
