| I agree fully with you, unfortunately you can't please all the people all the time, in this case by not offending them. In North America, and in the UK I imagine, we are used to self-censorship by certain artists in the mainstream. . . which is why Charlie Brown never told Lucy to "Hold the damn football, or I'll rip your head off." Mabye Schultz wanted Charlie to say that, we'll never know, but he knew the risk of offending his readers was to great, or the risk of cancellation. It dosen't make any kind of censorship right, it's just a condition many people who produce art for mass public consumption are forced to live with . . . at least in North America. |
